Thank you for your interest in The First Steps International Pre-School (The First Steps). I hope you enjoy finding out about what we have to offer you and your child.
We pride ourselves on many aspects at The First Steps, in particular, our community ethos, adult-child ratios, the professional expertise of our staff, our excellent resources and superb facilities, which include a heated swimming pool, gym and an exciting outdoor playground.
The First Steps provides a caring, relaxed and supportive atmosphere where children feel safe, secure, happy and motivated to learn. We strive to ensure that learning is accessible for every child by providing a wide range of carefully planned experiences. We focus on developing the whole child and meeting each of their individual learning needs, allowing them to flourish.
We follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS), with an international perspective. The EYFS framework is based on the philosophy that young children learn best through a careful balance of formal learning and learning through play, to ensure every child reaches their full potential and is both ready and excited for their future.
The First Steps is well known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and the climate of trust which exists between all members of the community. We believe that the parents, teachers and children are all part of a team which supports the principle that every child matters.
We embrace our diverse community, immersing children in a rich array of cultures, religions, and backgrounds. We are driven by the ethics of inclusion and equal opportunity for all where the culture of Thailand and all nationalities is respected.
The best way to see what we can provide is to come and visit and I look forward to showing you and your child all that The First Steps can offer.
The First Steps follows the British Curriculum. This consists of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for our younger learners and the English National Curriculum for Primary aged children in Year 1 upwards. We also offer French and German language programs designed to maintain and develop first, second or third languages.
The Early Years curriculum caters to children in Rising 2’s (16 months +), Nursery (2-3 years old), K1 (3-4 years old) and K2 (4-5 years old).
Students in Years 1 to 6 continue to benefit from a broad and balanced curriculum which includes the core subjects of Maths, English, Science and Computing.
A unique feature of the curriculum at The First Steps is the opportunity for children to benefit from a bilingual education studying French or German alongside English.
The First Steps is delighted to announce the opening of its new Primary School and is currently enrolling children aged up to 9 years old (Year 4) for August 2021.
