The curriculum at First Steps is based on the National British Curriculum. The children start with the Foundation Stage at the age of 2 until 4 then proceed to Key Stage 1 at ages 5 and 6. The natural approach to learning is also encouraged, including an appreciation of nature, respect for the environment and for the world different cultures. Field trips and outdoor activities will be tailored to achieve these goals. These activities will include exposure to Thai culture, foreign languages, basic cooking, dance, ballet, P.E., pottery and swimming classes. At First Steps we believe children learn from first-hand experience.
Children will be encouraged to be responsible for projects to help those people who are less fortunate than themselves. An example might be the production of artwork by the children for sale as a fund-raising exercise.
